1 - Electromagnetism, Matter-Radiation interactions
- Absorption, scattering, thermal emission.
- Basics of spectroscopy.

2 - Radiative Transfer
- In the atmospheres (gases, aerosols, clouds) .
- On and inside dense materials (regolith, surfaces).

3 - Applications to remote sounding of atmopsheres and surfaces
- Passive infrared, lidar, occultation, radar.
- Overview for solar system bodies.
